I will complete the Winter RIP Swim
I'm fundraising for kids with brain cancer!
Further to Connor’s Run, I'm taking place in the Winter Rip Swim, to support the brave and awesome kids fighting brain cancer - the #1 disease killer of young people, and to fund the science that will one day end paediatric brain cancer. The swim (Sat 13th July) is across the mouth of Port Phillip Bay from Point Nepean to Point Lonsdale, and must be completed in Speedos.
Through Billy and the Waters family, I've seen firsthand the impact and struggles families go through dealing with this issue and I thought this upcoming swim would be another suitable platform to bring further awareness and hopefully some donations for critical research. This swim is nothing compared to what so many young kids are enduring but it's what will be at the forefront of my mind during the crossing - so dig deep!
