Embracing New Beginnings: Running for Connor’s Run at 8 Weeks Postpartum
Hello, friends and family!
I’m thrilled to lace up my running shoes for such an important event this September.
What makes this year’s run even more meaningful is that I am 8 weeks postpartum. As many of you know, becoming a mum of 2
has been a transformative journey, filled with joy, challenges, and countless new experiences. Now, I’m ready to embark on another journey—getting back into my running training.
So why Connor’s Run?
Connor’s Run isn’t just any race. It’s a run dedicated to raising funds and awareness for brain cancer research, inspired by the incredible Connor Dawes. The funds raised through this event go directly to supporting projects that will help find a cure and provide better treatments for brain cancer patients. It’s a cause that truly makes a difference, and I’m honored to be a part of it.
Getting back into running postpartum has been both exciting and challenging. My body has been through so much, and every run feels like a new beginning. I’m embracing the journey with patience and determination, taking it one step at a time. Running has always been a passion of mine, and now it’s also a way to reclaim my strength and endurance.
Training for Connor’s Run is a unique experience this year. I’m balancing the demands of being a parent with the dedication to my running routine. Early morning runs, stroller jogs, and finding moments to squeeze in a quick workout have become my new normal. It’s a testament to the incredible adaptability and resilience that parenthood brings.

I'm fundraising for kids with brain cancer!
I’m doing Connor’s Run to support the brave and awesome kids fighting brain cancer - the #1 disease killer of young people, and to fund the science that will one day end paediatric brain cancer.
Brain cancer research is on the tipping point. We can all be part of making important breakthroughs happen. My participation is something that I can do to support the science and in the meantime the patients. For all the people out there currently battling brain tumours and for those who couldn’t wait for research to progress any longer.
I’m doing this because I know we can find a way to make brain cancer go the way of the dinosaurs. Make a donation to my page and be part of making brains matter, together we can change the odds for young people.
